Abstract: The commonly used construction material like cement concrete highly contribute to the global 𝐢𝑂2 emission. The use of timber can reduce these emissions considerably. In recent years, wooden structures have become attractive and popular because of their excellent characteristics. The drawbacks due to the heterogeneous properties of ordinary timber can be solved with the help of manufactured wood product like engineered wood. In this study one such engineered wood named HDHMR (High Density High Moist Resistant) fibre board is used to fabricate a glue-laminated beam. Different configurations of lamination based on the number of layers and adhesive used for bonding are used for fabrication of beam. The characteristics from experimental investigation of this beam specimens are studied and compared.
