Abstract:
The incorporation of reinforcement materials in metal matrix composites (MMCs) has gained
significant attention in recent years due to their potential to enhance mechanical and tribological
properties. This literature review focuses on the wear analysis and optimization of Aluminium
composites reinforced with Granite powder and Boron Carbide (B4C) as reinforcement. The
review provides an overview of the currentstate ofresearch in thisfield, highlighting the various
methodologies, experimental techniques, and optimization strategies employed to improve the
wear resistance of these composites. The synthesis techniques, wear characterization methods,
and the influence of reinforcement content and particle size on the wear behavior are discussed.
Additionally, the review sheds light on the tribological performance, wear mechanisms, and
potential applications of these composites. The findings and knowledge gaps identified in this
review serve as a basis for future research and development in the field of wear analysis and
optimization of Aluminium composites using Granite powder and B4C reinforcement. To
determine the nature of changes in the specimen face where wear is occurring, SEM and EDAX
of the specimen are investigated
